dorothy || the portrait session.

I love spending time with friends. I’m a relational kind of person. I like people. People usually like me. I’m not overly outgoing, but I just love people. Lately I’ve found myself stuck under a pile of studying and work that I just can’t seem to get out from under. The madness never ends! So my friend-time has been pretty limited.

When Dorothy suggested that we hang out and have a photo adventure together, I was all for it. Dorothy is someone that I really enjoy spending time with. We have several things in common, the two major ones being: photography and Jesus. Not to mention that we go to the same church, we’re in the same small group, and we go to the same school. It’s been great having a friend who is a young photographer just starting out in the business like myself. We’re at very similar stages in our business and work so it’s great growing together and helping each other out where we can. Dorothy is a great photographer. Really she is. And she completely rocks senior portraits. I think she had, what, 40-some seniors last year? Yeah! That’s craziness right there!

After our little photo adventure we sat down for coffee and talked a little business. We are both dreamers. Our afternoon of dreaming and scheming together had a pretty cool outcome. We have some exciting news and some sweet plans up our sleeves that I am so so so excited to share with you (can’t you just feel the excitement?!)! I’d tell you all about it right now, but we still have details to finalize. I think we will be announcing it later this week hopefully. So keep a look out here and on her blog as well!

Favorite number one from the day…the green grass and her purple shirt just make me so happy. Bright colors are fantastical.

Favorite number two. There were just so many good ones it made it hard to decide which I like best.

If you can’t tell, we are just really really excited…

P.S. You’re so adorable, I absolutely love shooting you! We’re working on bringing out that inner model. Haha.
