I was so excited as I ran to my sister’s room that I didn’t notice the blankets on the hallway floor. Before I knew it I was flat on my face, laughing so hard I could barely breathe. Graceful is definitely not my middle name!
Tara had to come help me back onto my feet, but my fall didn’t slow me down. I ran into her room and started pulling clothes from the closet and throwing them onto her bed. “We are going to have a photoshoot. Right now.” Tara knows me well enough to not argue with me when I’m in creative mode. Within 15 minutes, we were changed, had all of my gear and props packed in the car, and were on our way. After picking up our friend Ashley we drove out to Duvall. I love Duvall. Such a cute little town.
Tara, Ashley, and I had to chase daylight since we started the shoot 3pm. But then again I always find that late afternoon lighting to be glorious. While the shoot was of Tara, my main focus was on my new cameras. I love vintage cameras! So you can guess how happy I was when I found four under the Christmas tree yesterday, all with my name on them. Yep. So happy. The new additions to my collection include: Brownie 2-A (1902), Ciro-flex (1940), Kodak Vigilant Six-20 (1939), and Blackbird Fly. Amazing.
Beautiful light, vintage cameras, a yellow shirt, an open field, and 2 great friends make for a fantastical afternoon. How I love chasing daylight.

The Brownie 2-A. Can you believe that you used to be able to by a camera for only $1? That’s what this camera originally sold for.

The Ciro-flex. I’m amazed that it is in such great condition.

The Kodak Vigilant Six-20. It came with a roll of film inside. I can’t wait to develop it and see if there is anything left on it.

The Blackbid Fly. It’s orange! Happiness.

Favorite.Favorite.Favorite. This right here is Sindisiwe Photography summed up into one image.

{tara} Thanks for your patience and going along with my insanity and craziness today. And every other day for that matter. Thanks for chasing daylight with me. Love you!
